IGNO Fusions

SG2: So I found this picture in a Google search for chainsaw pose references...

Yup, that is a chainsaw toaster. So obviously, this would be the weapon that would result from me and xL fusing somehow... So I got to thinking...what would other IGNO fusions by like? Who do you think you would fuse with if you could? Whose personality do you think you'd be most compatible with, or would yield the most interesting combination if you fused with them? And if this were a permanent kind of fusion, who wouldn't you mind being stuck sharing a body and mind with for the rest of your life? I think the me/xL fusion would be called SGexL (es-jex-el), and in addition to wielding a toaster chainsaw, we would share xL's pointy hair (but it would be orange) and squinty eyes, but have tiger ears and a tail. Our height would be that of a short human, somewhere in-between xL's average height and the SG2 Tiger's short stature. And, in an amusingly relevant parallel to what we mused over last night in IRC, our personality would probably be dominantly SG2, but develop xL's traits of sexual deviancy. Combine that and the ability to threaten people with a toast-shooting chainsaw and we might even give an unfused PWR a run for her money. Sooo...other fusions?

xL: I know I am referred solely by "xL," but for a fusion of you and I, you could use the "717" in my name. I only say this because for some reason, to me, "717G2" sounds kinda badass.

SG2: Or, SG717 - replacing my number with yours Also, as we saw last night, MTS can apparently fuse with Mr. Popo and the moon from Majora's Mask...

Karma: Just reading this sentence terrifies me in profound ways.

SG2: Well, you never know. You might be able to take her, if you fused with someone. The question is, who's both powerful enough to be worthy of fusing with you, and un-disturbing enough that they won't corrupt your mind (further) by doing it?

Karma: I dunno. It's hard to envision anybody I could fuse with....

SG2: You do seem to have a lot in common with MTS. You could potentially fuse with her - the fusion would gain your intelligence, sense of duty, and vampiric/witch powers...and massive hypnotic tits. 

Mr. Bones:

i have the same problem. russell and i just share a 100% asian baby that he seems to have absconded with, pwr and i fusing would be hillarious but result in an internal power struggle and nothing good could possibly come of it, and really would i fuse with anyone with a heart full of neutrality? i think not, for me to fuse with someone i'd have to know where they stand. i havent forgotten anyone but i really cant think of pros or cons to fusing with anyone else. and the only attack combos i could think of with SG2/bones are lightning bricks or narwhals with chainsaw horns... wait that sounds amazing FEAR THE CHAINSAW NARWHALS AND ROCKET LEPRECHAUNS midpost inspiration ftw!

This does sound kinda awesome.... And KarmaTS does sound like an upgraded mode or something, so.... YES. I accept this as a badass fusion of badassitude.

SG2:

Are you implying that, were you to fuse with Russell, you'd combine into something 100% asian, because your baby has proven that's what happens when your genes are combined with his? Can I take back my fusion with xL and do this instead? Or is it like the potara earrings in DBZ, where once we've fused, it's too late to undo it?

Karma: Gonna be honest, I read that as potato earrings. Shut up I'm hungry, okay? Anyway, I'd say de-fusing probably happens after a certain amount of time or something. So you'd be stuck fused to xL for a little while, but once it's done, you could fuse with Bones. Same goes for the rest of us for crazy fusing adventures and half a dozen possibilities.

Bradios: Considering what's been happening around here recently, my fusion would (probably) be with xL. But what could be a good name...xLios? BradxL? Brad717?

Karma: I'd go with BradxL. It sounds like some sort of upgrade, which makes sense, since you'd be an upgraded fused cyborg, right?

SG2: I dunno, I kinda like xLios myself...it looks dumb, but it could be pronounced like 'zellios'. How would you pronounced BradxL? Bradzel? That just makes me think of pretzels, and when we start getting those and potato earrings running around together, I dunno if I could take this fusion thing seriously.

Karma: It would be pronounced Brad XL. Like....Brad Ex El. Y'know. Like an upgrade.

SG2: Fusions aren't just 'upgrades' though. 'Brad Ex El' just makes it sound like Bradios is getting everything and there's no part of xL in there, because it's just 'XL' as in 'Bradios But Better'. I dunno, that sounds a little unfair to xL. To use Dragonball as an example again (because how can you not in a topic like this), BradxL as you describe it seems to me like it'd be more of a Namekian-style merging - like when Piccolo absorbed Nail, he was still Piccolo, but stronger (Abridged Piccolo is a different case entirely; Nail's mind/personality didn't survive like that in canon). When he merged with Kami-Sama he mellowed out a bit and gained his godly wisdom, but even though they tried to describe it as them returning to the 'original' being before they split, it's pretty obvious that the character was still Piccolo. Whereas Gotenks was a very different character from both the individual Goten and Trunks...Goten was the happy, mild-mannered, somewhat dimwitted kid while Trunks was the trouble-making 'leader' with the brains. Gotenks pretty much lost all those brains and became extremely cocky and childish. Gotenks was a different character than Goten or Trunks.

I see IGNO fusions working more like that - a true combination of BOTH the characters and not just one of them getting stronger and 'upgrading'. With a name like xLios I can picture a guy with xL's spiky hair, but it's blue, and he has a scouter, and an arm cannon that shoots toast, maybe only the eye that's under the scouter is squinty, and his outfit is probably more like Brad's but perhaps with xL's tight pants...and he's more sensible and less perverted than xL, but he's still crafty and indulges in unspeakable things behind closed doors (he just has the decency to keep that part of him to himself...unlike xL, who prefers to share his 'parts' with the world). 'Brad Ex El' just makes me picture the equivalent of Super Saiyajin Bradios - a stronger, better version of himself, with nothing xL-ish about him but the spiky blue hair.

LG: I feel like xL would never want to do a fusion with anyone... It would be one less person he could fuck :/

SG2: Or maybe it would be a secret kink...a new and exciting way to be 'inside' someone

LG: I feel like there would be a chance of me and karma fusing because we both can become undead. A zombie/vampire fusion I'm sure it's been thought of before.

SG2: ...I thought the whole 'zombie LG' thing was retconned out a long time ago I mean, when was the last time you mentioned becoming a zombie, or eating pudding? Times have changed, mang. Though I think you just want an excuse to fuse with Karma, since it would let you get closer to her and maybe she'd consider going out with you.

LG: Fuck you know me too well

Bradios: It seems like a lot has been retconned in the 4 years since we've come on here. And it seems like we've retconned all of our back-stories so many times in the past it's almost worrying. Hell, I can't remember how many character changes I myself have been though!

SG2: I think you're one of the least changed, actually. Mostly you just played up the cyborg aspect more and more and the whole 'king of an ancient air temple full of monks' has all but been retconned out. I did still include Bradios Banks as a floating island with ancient ruins on the IGNOLand map, but even that I don't mind changing, should you no longer wish to dwell in such a place. xL has probably changed the most out of anyone
