A sadly short-lived little story game that would go on to inspire the ill-fated IGNO Quest RP.

Cowsy: Welcome IGNOites to the IGNO Adventure Game.

What is the IGNO Adventure Game you ask? Well, it is a game like no other. You choose the path the hero takes. You decide his actions. The actions chosen will be narrated and drawn. Examples of this game are here and here.

For each frame of the game, we will be requesting suggestions of actions for your hero to perform. All suggestions and comments are to be posted in this thread. As a reminder, for each frame of the game, we are asking that you make only one suggestion post for anti spam purposes.

How to play the game
Have you ever played one of those really old computer games where you had to type in an action and press the enter button in order to attempt to execute the action you have suggested?

If you have, you’ll know that when you tell the game what to do you don’t refer to your character as “you” and you don’t refer to them by their name either. Because YOU, the player, are the character in the game/story. You can suggest actions for yourself, the main character, to take.

In other words, YOU are the Hero! 

In these text based games all you have to do is input an action.

For example:
“open drawer”
“search drawer”
“open door”
“exit room”

Once you have input your action, the game will tell you what the result of that action is so that you can then decide what your next action will be.

This is essentially what this game involves, the difference is that instead of the computer deciding the plot it will be narrated by SG2 and drawn by myself. This process is a little slower than the computer, of course, but has far more potential for hilarity. The post selected will be chosen at randon using SG2’s chainsaw randomiser.

Please remember that the narrator makes the story, you just suggest what the hero does next.

Here are a couple of examples of suggested actions, and examples of suggestions when you’re telling the story like the narrator instead of playing the game as a player:

“Mount your steed and exit the building.” <—<< This is an action suggestion which is what we are looking for.

“Mount your steed and try to exit the building but you hit the doorway and knock yourself out” <—<< This is a suggested action AND a suggested result of said action (the result is underlined). We only want suggested actions. It is the job of the narrators to decide on and describe the results and effects of your actions.

You can make your actions as crazy or as realistic as you like! Have fun with it! Just remember that it is the narrator’s job to tell the story and that not knowing how things are going to turn out is half the fun!

Please lets not just turn this into a porno guys. As funny it would be to draw stick figure porn, its not the point of the game.

It's a normal, peaceful day in IGNOLand as we join the protagonist of this story, LG, in his radio station. As DJ JIZZY LG, he takes the calls of various listeners who phone in with the usual run-of-the-mill sexual questions that he can answer, of course, flawlessly...but just as he begins to grow weary of this job and the lame calls he gets, a most mysterious caller is connected to the line...LG's eyes widen as the caller asks him a question that 

THE QUESTION THAT LG IS ASKED: "If an exact clone of someone is created would they be the same person as the original?"

LG pauses for a long, pensive moment. This was unlike any question he'd stopped to consider before, and the pressure of being live on the air made him even more unsure...after all, these callers sought him out for his wisdom, but truth be told, that wisdom didn't extend very far beyond sexual matters. If he gave them an answer to such a philosophical question that they didn't end up wanting to hear, well...the controversy could be enough to put him out of the radio business forever.

The caller breaks the silence, still on the line, asking if LG is still there...but the Gaylian host simply stands up, a determined look on his face that, of course, his listeners cannot see. He then decides to...

WHAT DOES LG DECIDE TO DO?

(note that the question has to be something difficult to answer on the spot, perhaps something philosophical or something that would require greater exploration or research - otherwise, LG has no motivation to go on a quest, and the story would end right here!! Also note that despite the 'theme' of his radio show, not all the questions LG is asked have to be sexual in nature)

Cowsy: I shall also add a question: "How can you be in 2 places at once DJ Jizzy LG? I just saw you on the opposite side of IGNOland...."

LG: Why do some VAGE's have teeth and others don't? Is it because of where the owner of the VAGE grew up or is it some sort of growth hormone?

SG2: And the question chosen is... Tim's!!

I always thought it was a shame this thread tanked simply because it was a very inactive period for the board – had this come during one of IGNO’s prime activity periods, I’m sure we would have made great use of those extra spaces.
